**Job Description**

Vacancy for a Web Application Engineer (m/f) in a meteorological context

Software written in Python and JavaScript is our daily work. Tools
like jQuery, PostgreSQL and ExtJS are our instruments. We are looking
for a team-oriented person, who can bring new developments from design
to release.

The position involves:

* Maintenance, further development and administration of our web portal
* Planning and implementation of new applications for our web portal
* Design of web-based user interfaces
* Development of internal web pages

Requirements

* Profound Python skills
* Experience in at least one web application framework (Twisted Nevow or
Django, Ruby on Rails, ...)
* Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Linux
* Basic understanding of databases and SQL
* Proficiency in German is essential for the work in the team. If you
have only basic knowledge of German, we expect a very good command of
English and the willingness to learn German.
