Applicants are invited for the following PhD studentship, which is a NERC-funded CASE award with the Met Office

Funding is ONLY available to UK students or non-UK EU students who have
been resident in the UK for 3 years.

Further details of the studentship can be found at:

Applicants should have at least an upper second class degree in physics, mathematics, statistics or closely related physical or environmental science. Candidates with a lower class of degree, but a good performance at Masters level in a relevant subject will also be considered. No prior knowledge of meteorology is required but we are particularly interested in candidates with a strong statistical background.

This studentship is fully funded (including a maintenance grant of about
13,590 per year (2012/2013 rate), and University fees) but this funding is ONLY available to UK students or non-UK EU students who have been resident in the UK for 3 years.
