Job Summary

We are seeking an excellent candidate with a track record of research and 
leadership in one or more of the following areas: regional and global climate 
modelling or analysis, and/or impacts; palaeoclimate and Earth system 
modelling; composition-climate; cloud and weather-related processes and impacts.

The position provides an excellent opportunity to exploit observations, 
laboratory studies and advanced numerical models developed within the Institute 
for Climate and Atmospheric Science within the School of Earth & Environment at 
the University of Leeds. You will be an excellent communicator and will 
contribute to leadership and teaching within the School. You will have the 
opportunity to benefit and contribute to our strong ties and formal Academic 
Partnership with the UK Met Office and our long-standing integration with and 
leadership of the UK National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS), as well as 
our growing links with the insurance industry, e.g. AXA and the Willis Research 
Network, facilitated through a new University hub on Climate and Geohazard 
Services. You will build upon our strong collaborations with wider research on 
climate and impacts within the Faculty of Environment and beyond, such as the 
Centre for Climate Change, Economics and Policy; Africa College; and the 
Ecology and Global Change group.

Salary
The salary, which is negotiable, will be within the Professorial range - 
minimum £59,302 p.a.
