Funded postdoctoral position is currently available focusing on understanding the innovative
area of natural biogeochemical feedbacks in the  climate system.  The successful candidate
will work on an interdisciplinary team working to use available process level and large scale observations
to improve earth system model simulations of methane and nitrous oxide feedbacks.  These feedbacks
represent some of the least well known natural feedbacks in the system.  Postdoctoral positions require
a PhD in a relevant area, such as hydrology, atmospheric science, biogeochemistry or ecology.
The projects involve researchers at multiple institutions and disciplines, and
will have the possibility of travel for collaborations and field work.  For more information on Dr. Mahowald's
and Dr. Hess' research, please see:  and    Applicants for postdoctoral positions should send an email
