We need an ambitious and talented scientist to manage a new international research project on stratospheric predictability and its potential benefit for weather forecasting. The project will design and run the first major international experiment on stratospheric predictability and is supported by both the World Climate Research Program, Stratospheric Processes and their Role in Climate project and the Working Group on Numerical Experimentation.

You will need to combine a detailed understanding of atmospheric predictability and forecasting with the ability to manage a large project with international partners in five countries. The job will be varied and challenging and requires both scientific and project management skills.
