Dear colleagues,

please find attached a new job announcement for a position in my group here in Tübingen.

Summary:

We are looking for a PhD student or Post-Doc. The tasks include:
* improvement of the calibration strategy of an airborne 3D wind vector measurement system in wind tunnels and in flight

* experimental studies of the interaction between turbulent flow and aircraft

* experimental studies (incl. field campaigns) of the lower atmosphere using UAV

* teaching bachelor and master students in tutorials and laboratory courses

* performing own research and writing research proposals (Post-Docs only)

The ideal candidate has already experience with:
* atmospheric science or fluid mechanics
* atmospheric and turbulence measurement technology
* airborne measurements and UAV
* boundary-layer meteorology and turbulence theory

May I ask you to publish the attachment in your institution and forward it to suitable candidates?

Thank you very much and please excuse any double postings.

Best regards, Jens Bange
