Job title



Job description

You will provide accurate and timely forecasts to a wide variety of clients, delivered to specific deadlines. These range from newspaper and other media clients through to those operating in weather critical and weather dependant markets, especially road, rail and energy.


Qualifications and skills

The successful candidate is expected to have:

  • A degree or post-graduate degree in meteorology
  • A strong knowledge of European and UK geography (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to analyse synoptic charts and interpret forecast charts; this would be a distinct advantage, as would familiarity with the climate of the British Isles


The successful candidates can expect an attractive remuneration package together with a generous benefits package and 25 days holiday per annum.   MeteoGroup provides weather forecasting services 24/7 therefore meteorologists are required to work shifts including weekends and nights.
