[Met-jobs] Using optimization to improve biogeochemical feedbacks in models

Funded postdoctoral positions are available focusing on understanding the exciting and quickly
evolving area of natural biogeochemical feedbacks in the  climate system.  The successful candidates
will work on an interdisciplinary team working to use available process level and large scale observations
as well as sophisticated optimization techniques to improve earth system model simulations of methane
and nitrous oxide feedbacks.  These feedbacks represent some of the least well known natural feedbacks
in the system.  Postdoctoral positions require a PhD in a relevant area. The projects involve researchers
at multiple institutions and disciplines, and will have the possibility of travel for collaborations and field work.
For more information on Dr. Mahowald's and Dr. Hess' research, please see:

Applicants for postdoctoral positions should send an email directly to Mahowald@cornell.edu. Cornell University
is an equal opportunity, affirmative action educator and employer.
