We expect to have about 10 PhD studentships available for UK students, to study as part of our PhD programme in Atmospheres, Oceans and Climate at the Department of Meteorology, University of Reading.
The Department, which forms part of the University's School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, performs world-leading research across a wide range of subjects in meteorology and its related disciplines, including weather systems, air quality, climate (and earth system) science, earth observation, data assimilation, space weather and oceanography.

Prior knowledge in meteorology, or its related disciplines, is not required.
We have an Open Day on Wednesday 29 February 2012 - to be considered for an invitation to this Open Day, applications must be submitted by 15 February 2012. However, later applications will also be welcomed.
