Job description
We need an excellent Researcher to work on fully nonlinear data assimilation
methods. Specifically, a particle filter with 4DVar particles will be developed
and tested in a suite of atmospheric models.

You will be stationed at the University of Reading and work closely with
scientists from the ECMWF to implement the method in simple to more complex
models like two-layer quasi-geostrophic models. If successful we will try to
work on the full operational model.

Experience in computational fluid dynamics would be an advantage.

PLEASE NOTE INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD ON 24 FEBRUARY 2012
