The University of Edinburgh is advertising "Chancellors Fellowships" which are awards aimed at early-career individuals of exceptional potential who have begun to establish a reputation for the highest quality research at the forefront of their discipline and who have a commitment to learning and teaching at university level. They are intended to be five year positions leading to a permanent position subject to satisfactory performance. At the School of Geosciences we aim to appoint up to five Fellowships. Though we have strategic areas in which we would like to recruit research excellence is key. See http://www.ed.ac.uk/schools-departments/geosciences/research/chancellors-fel lowships for more information. There are three closing dates with the first one on the 16th Jan, 2012 and the last one on the 16th of April. For more information please see the web site or contact me.
