YALE  UNIVERSITY:  A Postdoctoral Position in Ocean, Atmosphere and Climate Dynamics
A new postdoctoral positions in Ocean, Atmosphere and Climate Dynamics is available at Yale University, Department of Geology and Geophysics ( Particular fields of research include ocean circulation, ocean-atmosphere interactions, the role of ocean in climate, climate variability, paleoclimate. Examples of current research projects: El Niño in past and future climates, stability of the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation, abrupt climate change, modeling of decadal climate variability. The work will involve a combination of numerical modeling, analyses of observational, proxy and GCM data, and analytical approaches. A PhD in physical oceanography, atmospheric sciences or related disciplines is required. Experience with oceanic or atmospheric general circulation models (GCM) is required. Funding is currently available for two years but can be extended in future.
