Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Climate Risk Management The University of Auckland invites applications for the Ockham Lectureship or SeniorLectureship in Climate Risk Management in the Faculty of Science. Applicants should hold a PhD in the atmospheric sciences or a related field and possess in depth knowledge of how weather and climate information is generated over a range of time scales, with particular emphasis on forecasting, and how this information can be used in reducing risk in weather and climate sensitive sectors of society and the economy. The successful applicant will be expected to take the lead in the development and delivery of a BSc Honours programme in Climate Risk Management. Evidence of an ability to attract research funding, publish in leading peer-reviewed journals, build research collaborations and a willingness to engage with government and industry is highly desirable. This position will be a joint appointment between the School of Environment and the Department of Physics which are both located in the Faculty of Science.
