Project Objectives:

§         Improve the operationality and quality of volcanic ash forecasting in Europe.

§         Assess long term risk associated with potential continuous Icelandic volcanic eruptions.

Project/Fellowship Duration:

          4 Years.

Stipend plus Fees:

Up to €23,500 per year for four years.


          Irish Centre for High End Computing. (

Start Date:

          Preferably September 2011.
