Forwarded from CLIMLIST... Vacancy: Ph.D. Position in micrometeorology/biosphere-atmosphere interaction at Washington State University(USA) We are seeking one energetic and motivated Ph.D. student to join us to conduct research in micrometeorology, boundary-layer meteorology, and biosphere-atmosphere interaction and climate feedbacks in the Laboratory for Atmospheric Research (LAR), Washington State University, Pullman, Washington. An undergraduate or Master’s degree in atmospheric sciences is required. A strong quantitative/modeling background (e.g., WRF) and previous field experience are desired. The student will work on micrometeorological instruments in field campaigns conducted at LAR and analyze turbulence data from micrometeorological experiments. We will quantify how land surfaces respond to climate changes in terms of changes in land-surface fluxes. The research assistantship includes stipend, tuition, and health insurance. Prospective students should contact Dr. Heping Liu (<firstname.lastname@example.org>) for additional information and to submit a C.V. for consideration. Admission deadlines and other requirements can be found at the WSU Graduate School website: <http://gradsch.wsu.edu/>. To learn more about the LAR program, visit <http://www.lar.wsu.edu>. WSU is an EEO employer. Protected group members are encouraged to apply.
