Dear colleagues,

TR32: "Patterns in Soil-Vegetation-Atmosphere System monitoring,
modelling and data assimilation"

The TR32 is an interdisciplinary collaborative research centre including
the universities of Aachen, Bonn, Cologne and the Research Centre Jülich
(Germany). The TR32 comprises a broad range of natural scientific
disciplines and deals with patterns in state variables, and mass and
energy fluxes in the coupled soil-vegetation-atmosphere systems due to
complex exchange processes and interactions.

In the coming years, the TR32 will implement a number of strategic
measures to increase the number of female research scientists on the
principal investigator level. Thus, focus is placed on the promotion of

2 female postdoctoral scholars
with the potential of advancing to the senior scientist level.

We offer

(i) 2 postdoc positions for female candidates with a experience
commensurate salary including an additional allowance for travel,
lodging and minor additionally expenses;

(ii) funding for PhD students to provide a nucleus for setting up their
own research group;

(iii)   extended stays at international partner institutions;

(iv)    individual career coaching.

Deadline for applications: 15th, April 2011
