POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW FOR THE ATMOSPHERIC CLIMATE MODELLING IN SOUTHEAST ASIA We are looking to appoint a Post-doctoral Fellow, preferably holding a PhD in atmospheric science, meteorology or climatology, in the modelling of present climate in Southeast Asia for ENSO and IOD impacts. This region manifests a strong diurnal cycle, intra-seasonal oscillations and monsoons. So multiscale interaction will be a key emphasis. The project will involve atmospheric modeling and comparison with gridded and satellite data. The Earth Observatory of Singapore is actively building its Climate Research programme and has a academic ethos conducive for the growth of young promising researchers. It works closely with the Tropical Atmosphere Group (URL: http://www1.spms.ntu.edu.sg/~sunshine) in Nanyang Technological University to leverage on expertise in modelling and data analysis. The initial appointment is for one year, and thereafter, is renewable for up to March 2014. Interested applicants are invited to submit a full CV, including academic qualifications, research records / work samples and names and contact details of two referees, to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Selection will commence immediately.
