The Department of Geography at the University of South Carolina (USC) is seeking graduate students for assistantships in actively funded, integrative climate research. Faculty expertise within the department includes: applied climatology, statistical and dynamic climate downscaling; historical climatology; synoptic climatology; boundary layer modeling and air pollution; and drought. Many of these projects are collaborations with other natural and social scientists within the department including specialists in adaptation, biogeography, cartography, decision support, geographic information sciences, hazards, water resources, and vulnerability.
