1) Research Fellow in Air Pollution and Health Impacts

University of Hertfordshire - Centre for Atmospheric and Instrumentation Research (CAIR)

Research Opportunities For A Self Motivated And Dynamic Scientist

Starting salary up to: £31,671 (initially available for 3 years)

You will be a high achieving individual with the drive and ambition to undertake research into topics related to air pollution and health impacts, such as, measurement and characterisation of particulate matter, source apportionment, health impact of aerosols or multiscale integrated modelling of air quality. As part of your duties you will assist in managing projects and explore further development of CAIR research programmes. You must have excellent communication skills in English and some experience of project management involving multiple interdisciplinary partners, preferably as part of the European Framework Programme.

You will be a high achieving research scientist who has the drive and ambition to work on frontier science problems in the field of air quality and climate interactions. As part of international project teams, you will develop methodologies for understanding the feedback interactions between air quality and climate processes. You will have experience of using and developing high resolution, regional and global scale air pollution and climate models in combination with measurements.
