[Met-jobs] PhD positions accross Europe

MEDGATE is an EU-funded project which will support 9 PhD students and a 
post-doc, based in several institutions across Europe.

The aim of the research is to reconstruct past flow patterns through the 
two marine gateways that linked the Mediterranean and Atlantic before the 
Strait of Gibraltar formed ~5 million years ago.  MEDGATE is a 
multidisciplinary research project involving geochemistry, sedimentology, 
micropalaeontology, numerical modelling and seismic interpretation.

All successful applicants will receive unparalleled technical and 
transferable skills training and will undertake fieldwork in Spain and 
Morocco.  The salary package is frankly amazing.
